XiFin Appoints David Byrd as Vice President of Radiology Solutions

July 24, 2012

San Diego, Calif. — July 25, 2012 — XiFin, Inc., the company revolutionizing revenue cycle management for diagnostic service providers, has announced the appointment of David Byrd as VP of Radiology Solutions.

Byrd brings nearly two decades of healthcare-related and business development experience in the radiology provider market to XiFin, most recently serving as senior vice president of business development for MedData, the nation’s largest emergency medicine billing service company.

“David is a talented addition to our team, and his experience in driving successful market strategies for a high growth healthcare billing company coupled with his deep knowledge of the radiology sector will be invaluable,” stated Lâle White, executive chairman and CEO of XiFin. “We look forward to David’s leadership role as we continue to build momentum in serving the diagnostic services market.”

Byrd commented, “I am very excited to join XiFin’s team. XiFin’s cloud-based interoperable RCM platform is unsurpassed in the industry; it can digitally share vital data, communications, and services among disparate and distributed systems when, where, and how the data is needed. Given current volatile radiology market conditions, radiology practices’ success will ride to a large degree on their ability to exchange information. XiFin really understands this, and I look forward to building upon the company’s extraordinary accomplishments and strong vision to further expand this key market sector.”

Prior to joining XiFin, Byrd was responsible for sales, marketing, business development and corporate communications at MedData. During Byrd’s tenure, he oversaw the most successful sales year in the company’s 30 year history, and successfully repositioned MedData’s brand identity as well as assisted in strategic acquisitions.

Prior to MedData, Byrd was vice president, business development at A-Life Medical, Inc., a provider of computer-assisted coding products and services to the radiology market. While at A-Life, Byrd oversaw sales, marketing and business development as well as managed the company’s corporate communications efforts. In the fall of 2010, A-Life was sold to OPTUM Insight, a leading provider of healthcare information, technology and consulting services. Byrd was instrumental in both preparing and transitioning A-Life for the sale.

Byrd holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana.

XiFin processes more than 100 million claims per year across a wide variety of healthcare segments including radiology, clinical, hospital outreach, anatomic pathology, molecular diagnostics, toxicology and more. Customers see significant improvements in profitability by collecting 8 percent additional cash on average in the first 12 months, and have realized cumulative gains of $1 billion in net cash collection, adjusted for growth.
