March 29, 2011

San Diego, CA — March 29, 2011XiFin Inc., the leading provider of revenue cycle management for diagnostic service providers, today announced that Rina Wolf, Vice President of Commercialization Strategies, Consulting and Industry Affairs, has been selected to speak at the 16th annual Executive War College, May 3-4, 2011 in New Orleans, LA.

The Executive War College is the premier conference of its kind, bringing together more than 600 laboratory executives, pathologists and industry leaders. It features more than 80 speakers, topics and sessions that cover laboratory strategy, operations and management.

Wolf will present the session, “Medicare and Private Payers New Attacks on Molecular Test Coverage: What Every Pathology Group and Clinical Laboratory Needs to Know.” The session will highlight how the changing healthcare environment will impact the coverage of molecular tests, and identify coding and reimbursement strategies to help address barriers to financially viable test modalities in molecular diagnostics.

“We’ve invited Rina to speak on the important issue of coming changes to how Medicare and private health insurers reimburse for molecular diagnostic (MDx) tests,” stated Robert Michel, Editor-In-Chief of The Dark Report and President of The Dark Intelligence Group, Inc. “Evidence is accumulating that potentially disruptive reforms in coverage guidelines, CPT codes and reimbursement may result from these reform efforts. For this reason, every clinical lab and pathology group will want to stay on top of these breaking developments.”

“Rina’s experience with bringing proprietary molecular diagnostic assays to market gives her a unique perspective,” continued Michel. “Her insights about ICD-10 implementation and the key challenges and barriers to molecular test coverage will be invaluable for conference attendees.”

Wolf is a leading authority in the field of laboratory commercialization and reimbursement, with over 20 years of experience in the diagnostic laboratory industry, specializing in molecular diagnostic laboratories. She is a former president and board member of the California Clinical Laboratory Association and is an active participant with many industry associations, including the Personalized Medicine Coalition.

More than half of the molecular diagnostic claims generated by specialty laboratories in the United States are processed through the XiFin system and seven of the industry’s 10 largest labs currently work with XiFin to automate their billing process, improve cash collections, better manage complex reimbursement requirements and reduce the costs associated with regulatory compliance.

XiFin has processed more than 150 million claims, enabling customers to collect 8 percent additional cash on average in the first 12 months, for a variety of diagnostic service providers across various healthcare segments including clinical, hospital outreach, anatomic pathology, molecular diagnostics, therapeutic pain management, radiology and more.
