Radiologists Are You Ready for CMS Place of Service Code Changes?

February 7, 2013

San Diego, Calif., — February 7, 2013 — XiFin Inc., the financial cloud computing company revolutionizing the business of healthcare diagnostics from patient to payment, will host a webinar, Navigating the Place of Service Rule Change and the Potential Ramifications for Radiology, on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.

Who:

Wendy Lomers, Chief Financial Officer, Acclaim Radiology

Mark Morsch, Vice President Technology, OptumInsight

Mike Mabry,  Executive Director,  RBMA

Thomas W. Greeson,  Partner, Reed Smith

Moderator:  Brigette LaBar, Radiology Services Executive, XiFin, Inc.

What:

In April of 2013, new CMS guidelines for “place of service” codes used to bill outpatient services will go into effect, impacting how claims are processed, and potentially putting radiologists at risk for Medicare reimbursement. Radiologists billing an interpretation using the wrong POS code may experience billing delays and denial of services for Medicare payments.  A number of factors need to be analyzed and understood to implement the new guidelines.  How broadly can radiology providers interpret an “unusual” place of service? What about the source of the data, especially in hospital environments where radiologists have little control about the configuration of information systems like RIS and PACs that capture the precise reading location?  Join this complimentary, one-hour webinar to learn how to navigate POS changes related to data capture, information systems, transcription, billing, data sharing, compliance and more.

When:

Wednesday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET
