XiFin Launches Next-Generation Sequencing Module; Expands Genomics-based LIS Workflow

XiFin has expanded its laboratory information system (LIS), XiFin LIS, with the launch of a next-generation sequencing (NGS) module to provide advanced functionality for laboratory sequencing operations and precision medicine. This new NGS module expands the XiFin suite of genomics-based LIS workflow capabilities to help labs grow their molecular business, drive adoption of sequencing tests, and improve the genomics workflow for better patient outcomes and maximum return on investment.

Molecular diagnostics and genomics are high growth areas that provide labs a significant opportunity to expand their business lines, grow revenue, and combat margin compression. The NGS module provides an intuitive, cloud-based workflow management system to support the sequencing operations of genomic laboratories for commercial testing. The NGS module is delivered as part of XiFin LIS, or can also be used to augment less robust LIS or research-oriented LIMS systems.

XiFin LIS is an advanced laboratory information system that includes robust solutions for anatomic pathology, molecular diagnostics and genomics, and clinical and toxicology. The diagnostic platform supports XiFin ProNet, a collaborative clinical data management solution that facilitates cloud-based digital pathology as well as physician collaboration through the exchange of key images, data and reports. XiFin ProNet enables precise tracking of patient response to therapy lines by combining clinical narratives with patient level data, imaging and NGS results.
