XiFin Executives to Share Insights for Driving 15% Increase in Outpatient and Ancillary Services Profit in Upcoming HFMA Webinar
April 21, 2021Recently-promoted COO joins XiFin CEO and HFMA research lead to discuss how outpatient-specific RCM optimizes operational visibility and revenue versus traditional EHRs.
SAN DIEGO, Calif., — April 21, 2021 — In an upcoming Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) member webinar, XiFin Executive Chairman and CEO Lâle White and Kyle Fetter, recently promoted to chief operating officer at XiFin, join HFMA’s Head of Research Bill Voegeli to discuss the growing importance of increased outpatient services and how healthcare organizations can optimize revenue.
Outpatient services at hospitals and health systems have historically been a secondary focus, but in recent months have become large revenue drivers and have attracted the attention of decision makers. From diagnostics like lab tests and imaging, to wellness and prevention programs, hospitals provide their communities with a range of services beyond core inpatient services. Industry leaders are now realizing their value, as well as how these services impact organizational cost structures and support quality performance.
Register here to join XiFin and the HFMA for the webinar on April 27 from 2-3 pm ET. Attendees will learn more about the critical role of outpatient and digital health services to improve patient access and engagement, and:
- How the impact of a healthcare organization’s culture and a reluctance to shift with the digital transformation wave may affect financial performance.
- The benefits of sharing outpatient RCM analytics and KPIs to support organizational system business objectives.
- How centralizing outpatient RCM assists with end-to-end automation including prior authorization, denials and appeals management.
- The changing role of RCM leaders and teams with the adoption of automation and AI.
“Many hospital and health system departments are currently encouraged to use electronic health record (EHR) systems designed for inpatient services. Too often, this leads to coding discrepancies, cumbersome appeals with insufficient documentation, excessive write-offs, and potential compliance hiccups. Payor behavior is changing so rapidly that technology alone can’t support healthcare profitability.” said Kyle Fetter, COO at XiFin. “Hospitals need to adopt systems that are coupled with services that are designed for the specific operations and revenue streams generated by these types of services. Outpatient RCM systems with advanced analytics and dedicated payor management will help department leaders better understand the root and substance of these recurring issues.”
Kyle Fetter Drove Growth of Outsourcing Division, Promoted to COO
The company is also sharing that Kyle Fetter, one of XiFin’s featured speakers from the webinar, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. He has been part of the XiFin leadership team for more than a decade, driving 55% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of the company’s outsourcing division. Most recently serving as executive vice president & general manager of Diagnostic Services, he has implemented and overseen the commercialization, complex billing and reimbursement processes for over 100 hospital, molecular diagnostic, and medical device providers. Now, as COO, Fetter provides strategic direction for operations, customer service and payor analytics. In addition, he oversees the implementation process for XiFin’s growing business areas including outsource services, radiology, community oncology and digital health. Finally, Fetter leads the development and commercialization of new web-based software products catered to high complexity diagnostic providers and third-party payor contracting.
“Over the past decade, Kyle has made a tremendous impact on XiFin. Through his guidance our outsourcing division has grown by leaps and bounds from a boutique service to a thriving division that encompasses expertise in appeals and denials best practices and leveraging artificial intelligence for improved workflow automation. His deep expertise in molecular diagnostics, ancillary services as well as billing processes make him uniquely positioned to collaboratively and successfully lead the many areas of our organization,” said Lâle White, Executive Chairman and CEO at XiFin. “At a time when the industry’s regulatory environment is consistently evolving, I am grateful not only for his continued drive and leadership, but also for his dedication to our corporate mission of empowering healthcare providers.”
Recognizing Diagnostic Lab Professionals
Hospital outreach labs and independent labs nationwide have risen to the challenge posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This week during Medical Laboratory Professionals Week, XiFin is reflecting on the changing state of the industry and the extreme dedication of lab professionals seen over the past year as COVID-19 testing demands drove lab volumes well over pre-pandemic capacity. The company is honoring all “superhero” lab workers and pathologists for their ongoing effort and commitment with a special message from one superhero to another.
